On September 9, 2025, the Mota Industrial Zone in Ílhavo hosted a new demonstration of the Route 25 Project – an Agenda for Autonomous, Intelligent, Interoperable and Inclusive Mobility, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The event was promoted by Capgemini Engineering, the consortium leader, with the support of the Institute of Telecommunications and Nexar. Its goal was to present innovative solutions that are transforming mobility to the local business community.
Demonstration Highlight: Safety Monitor
The main feature showcased was the Safety Monitor, a technology developed by Capgemini.
This system acts automatically in risk situations and ensures active safety and real-time monitoring through a private 5G network.
As a result, the solution increases the reliability of autonomous vehicle systems and strengthens trust in their adoption.
