On October 23, 2025, the Fundão Business Park hosted the final demonstration of the year for the Route 25 Project – Agenda for Autonomous, Intelligent, Interoperable and Inclusive Mobility, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). With this initiative, Portugal reinforces its leading position in smart mobility, bringing together technology, industry and academia to showcase solutions that are transforming cities.
Objectives and Benefits

To begin with, this technology combines GNSS signals with 5G metrics to ensure precise real-time positioning.
Next, vehicle software updates using edge computing were demonstrated, ensuring speed and reliability.
Meanwhile, the integration of sensors and chargers into urban furniture enables real-time IoT monitoring.
Finally, intelligent route planning incorporates availability, pricing and reservations for electric vehicle charging.
Institutional Presence and Partnerships
The event also included the participation of the Fundão City Council and partners such as Capgemini Engineering, VORTEX, Smartlamppost, Soltráfego, Global Charging and CTT, reinforcing cooperation between industry, technology and academia.
