The report from the Futuro Hoje program published on November 4th by SIC Notícias focused on the technologies that will enable the cars of the future to communicate with one another and with road infrastructure, significantly improving mobility safety and efficiency.
The report highlights the work developed by the Instituto de Telecomunicações and the University of Aveiro, including solutions that integrate the principles of cooperative mobility (V2X), one of the technological pillars also explored within the Route‑25 project.
The video shows demonstrations in which vehicles exchange real‑time alerts, autonomously avoid hazards, and interact with the infrastructure within a range of several hundred meters. These are the types of capabilities we are developing, testing, and scaling through our R&D activities and the demonstrations carried out in the pilot cities.
The future of connected mobility is approaching rapidly, and Route‑25 is proud to contribute to this progress.
